Traditional English Teas


Reserve the dining room at Bryn Oaks for a traditional British tea with a Texas twist.

Tea time, anyone? Formal or informal, Rhonda will work with you to plan a private tea that fits the needs of your group. Days available are Wednesday – Saturday. We can accommodate up to 10 guests and teas will last approximately two hours beginning any time between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Each sandwich is paired with a bread option that compliments and highlights the ingredients. Gluten free options available upon request.

Avocado Chicken Salad – This lightened-up version of chicken salad features an avocado and balsamic vinegar base and is finished with cilantro.

Dill and Caper Egg Salad – A mayonnaise-free twist on egg salad featuring a lemon, olive oil, and whole grain mustard base. Seasoned with dill and capers.

Lone Star Lox – Smoked salmon and fresh avocado with a zesty cream cheese spread that gives this sandwich a Texas twist.

Cucumber and Dill – Traditional English tea sandwich. Thinly sliced cucumbers dressed with cream cheese and dill.

Cheese and Pickle – Traditional English pub fare. Extra-sharp, aged cheddar paired with lettuce and Branston Pickle, a popular English relish.

Coronation Chicken – A traditional English salad, this sandwich spread was first served at the coronation of Elizabeth II. Coronation chicken features a curried-tomato Greek yogurt base with mangos, spring onions, and toasted almonds.

Crab Salad – This salad balances fresh lump crab with a simple dressing of apple cider vinegar, shallots, lemon juice, and olive oil.

Cheese and Tomato – Traditional English tea sandwich. Extra-sharp, aged cheddar balanced with a sweet and spicy tomato jam.

Roast Beef and Swiss – Traditional English pub fare. This hearty sandwich features thinly sliced roast beef enhanced by the bold flavors of swiss cheese and a peppery horseradish sauce.

Plain Scone, Clotted Cream and Strawberry Jam included.

Bacon Cheddar Scones


Cheese Straws – Traditional English pastry. These delicate pastry bites are flavored using a extra-sharp, aged cheddar. Can be made with chili flake for a spicy kick.

Jalapeno Muffins – Corn muffins topped with a honey butter pepper glaze.

Tiramisu – traditional Italian desert made with mascarpone cheese, lady fingers, custard, and espresso
Red Velvet – layered red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting
Chocolate Walnut – chocolate pudding and whipped cream with walnut crisp

Seven Layer Bars – A wonderful fusion of flavor with cranberries, white chocolate, almonds, and a crushed graham crust.

Baklava – Classic Greek sweet made with golden phyllo, nuts, honey, and a twist of citrus.

Turtle – caramel, pecans, chocolate
Dark Chocolate Toffee Caramel

Truffles – A decadent chocolate ganache dipped in tempered chocolate

Pecan Tassies – Two bite pecan pie with a special butter crust.
